How the design improves safety

Weight distributed across both forks. The load rides evenly on both forks instead of being carried on a single drilled fork, which reduces the chance of a bent or cracked fork.
Centered hitch for stability. The hitch sits on the centerline of the mover, so the trailer tracks smoothly and predictably whether you're pulling forward or backing up.
No drilled forks, no DIY welds. The mover slides on and self-locks. There's no drilling, no homemade ball mount, and no chains or pins that can fail.

OSHA does not "approve" or certify individual attachments, and no manufacturer (including us) can stamp an attachment "OSHA approved." What OSHA does require is that your forklift is rated for the way it's actually being used.

Adding any attachment can change a forklift's rated capacity. To stay compliant, most shops have the forklift's capacity plate (data plate) re-rated for use with the attachment by a qualified party. It's a straightforward external step. It is not automatic, and it does not mean your current equipment is out of compliance.
